Driving Directions

From I-95:
Take Exit 33B (Route 198 West to Burtonsville). After about 3 miles make left on Good Hope Rd. You will see Bait-ur-Rahman Mosque on the right side.
From North – Baltimore, New York…
Take I-95 South to Exit 33B (Route 198 West). Then follow the “From I-95” directions above.
From South – Richmond, …
Take I-95 North to Washington Capital Beltway (I-95/495). Go around the beltway and take Rt. 29 North (Colesville Rd). Take Rt 650 New Hampshire Ave-North. Take Rt on Briggs Chaney Road. Take left into Jalsa entrance.
From West – Hagerstown…(I-70)
Take I-70 East to I-270 South to I-495 East (Silver Spring) to I-95 North to Exit33B (Route 198 West). Then follow the “From I-95” directions above.
From West –Manassas…(I-66)
From I-66 East, take I-495 North (Baltimore) exit. Take Exit 33B (Route 198 West). Then follow the “From I-95” directions above.

Directions Arriving by Air

Arrival at BWI Airport
All guests arriving by air should try to reserve flights to Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI), since it is the closest airport to the Jalsa site. Transportation from the BWI to the Jalsa sight will be available from BWI between 8:00am and 2:00pm on Friday (September 3rd). If you are arriving between these times at BWI, you will be welcomed by the Jalsa transportation coordinators carrying Jalsa Salana Shuttle signs in the baggage claim area. Please approach one of the transportation coordinator and he will guide you to the designated shuttle. If you want to go to your hotel first and then to Jalsa sight, please let the transportation coordinator know and he will make the proper arrangement for you. If you are not arriving between 8:00am and 2:00pm at BWI and want to be picked up by Jalsa Shuttle, please inform the Nazim Transportation, Syed Saadat Ahmad, 240-483-6913, inshag@yahoo.com about your transportation needs by providing the name of the head of the traveling group/family, number of arriving people, airline name, flight number, and date and time of your arrival. If you provide the Nazim Transportation the above information at least 3 days before the Jalsa, the Jalsa Transportation Coordinator at the baggage claim area in the airport will welcome you. The Transportation Coordinator will then guide you to your shuttle.

To inform the Nazim Transportation about your travel information, you can call at 240-483-6913 or fax at 301-879-0115 the attached travel information form or mail the same form along with your registration package as soon as possible.

Arrival at Dulles Airport, National Airport or Silver Spring Union Station (Via train)
If you are arriving at Washington National Airport or Washington Dulles Airport or at the silver spring Union Station via train, and you want to be picked up by the Jalsa Shuttle, please inform the Syed Saadat Ahmad, 240-483-6913, inshag@yahoo.com about your transportation needs by providing the name of the head of the traveling group/family, number of arriving people, airline name, flight number, and date and time of your arrival. If you provide the Nazim Transportation the above information at least 3 days before the Jalsa, you will be welcomed by the Jalsa Transportation Coordinator at the baggage claim area in the airport or inside the sliver spring metro station. The Transportation Coordinator will then guide you to your shuttle.

Getting to Silver Spring
Metro Station

From Reagan National Airport,
Take the Metro (underground train) to “Gallery Place” Station using the Yellow Line. Then change train to Red Line and go to “Silver Spring” Station.

From Dulles Airport, take the “Washington Flyer” bus service to “West Falls Church” Metro Station in Virginia. Take Orange Line to “Metro Center” Station. Change to Red Line and go to “Silver Spring” Station.

From Union Station, Take Red Line Metro train to “Silver Spring” Metro Station. If you have already made arrangements to be picked up at Silver Spring metro station please come out of the station and wait at “Ride-On” Bus Stop number 8 and 9. You will be picked up from this spot.

Taking a Taxi
Tell the cab driver that you are going to the intersection of “Good Hope and Briggs Chaney Roads” in Silver Spring, Maryland. The Mosque is about 7 miles from the “Silver Spring” Metro Station.

Rental Cars and Other Arrangements
Rental cars should be reserved in advance. Most of the major car rental companies (Hertz, Avis, National, etc.) have counters in the airport terminal.

Driving from Airports to the Mosque

From BWI Airport:
- Proceed to the airport exit. The airport exits to I-195 West.
- Proceed on I-195 west, which will take you to I-95.
- Take I-95 South towards Washington.
- Then follow the “From I-95” directions above.

From National Airport:
Follow the “To Washington/ I-395” signs when exiting the airport. This will put you on the George Washington Memorial Parkway North. (If you are picking up a rental car off the airport, then ask for directions to the George Washington Parkway).
Please pay close attention to parkway signs. You will have to bear right several times to stay on the Parkway.
After 5-7 miles exit the Parkway at I-495 North towards Rockville/Baltimore.
- From I-495 North take US-29 North (Colesville Road -Exit 30A).
- Drive 6.1 mile and then make left turn on Briggs Chaney Road.
- Bait-ur-Rahman Mosque is on the right after few minute drive.

From Dulles Airport:
- Exit Dulles Airport on the Dulles Access Rd (Route 267) towards Washington D.C.
- Exit the Access Rd onto I-495 North towards Rockville/Baltimore.
- From I-495 North take US-29 North (Colesville Road -Exit 30A).
- D rive 6.1 mile and then make left turn on Briggs Chaney Road. and you will find Bait-ur-Rahman Mosque after a minute drive.
- Bait-ur-Rahman Mosque is on the right after few minute drive.
