Swine Flu Policy

Please read the following and everyone must abide by this policy

Prevention of Swine Flu:

To reduce the risk of catching or spreading the virus you should:
  • cover your mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing, using a tissue

  • throw the tissue away quickly and carefully

  • wash your hands regularly with soap and water

  • clean and disinfect hard hand contact surfaces (like door handles and taps) frequently with a normal cleaning product

Key information for volunteers, participants and visitors to Jalsa 
about swine flu:

  • If you have no symptoms – work/visit as normal

  • If you have had contact but display no symptoms – work/visit as normal

  • If you are taking Tamiflu but display no symptoms – work/visit as normal

  • You are only contagious when you have symptoms.

  • If you have symptoms, stay away from the Jalsa and stay at home.

  • If you develop symptoms at Jalsa, report immediately to the First Aid tent and then go home as soon as possible.
